Memorial services were held February 17, 2008 for Ronald S. Love, Ph.D., Associate Professor of History, University of West Georgia, Carrolton, Georgia. Dr. Love was the editor of the Southern Journal of Canadian Studies for the Southern Association for Canadian Studies (SACS). He will be thought of fondly, and sadly missed. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Messages of condolences may be sent to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Love (Eugenie); 340 Scarboro Avenue SW; Calgary, AB; T3C 2H3; Canada.

The Southern Association of Canadian Studies is a regional organization who works closely with The Association for Canadian Studies in the United States (ACSUS), a multidisciplinary association of scholars, professionals, and institutions, is dedicated to improving understanding of Canada in the United States. Founded in 1971, ACSUS encourages creative and scholarly activity in Canadian studies, facilitates the exchange of ideas among Canadianists in the U.S., Canada, and other countries, enhances the teaching of Canada in the U.S., and promotes Canada as an area of academic inquiry. The Southern Association is the regional organization for Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Florida and The Caribbean. |
